Importing Content Into a Sakai Site

Before you Begin: Make sure you are an Instructor or Academic Support in the course you want to copy from. Email at@antioch.edu if you need access.
 

1. Go to the Sakai site you want to import the content INTO.
   • Go to the Site Info Tool
   •  Click the "Import From Site" tab
     
       *** To keep links working in the site, import all tools you are re-using as part of one import process.***
     • This is so you don't have to re-link the tools that link to each other, like Lessons that link to Resources, Forums, or Assignments.
     • If you need to bring over some tools but not others, you will need to rebuild the links between tools.
        
2. To Replace the ENTIRE Sakai Site, select I would like to REPLACE my data.
   • (This does not bring over the users or their data such as posts or assignments.)
   •  Select the Site you want to copy from.
   •  Select the check boxes for ALL items, or just the items you want, and Click "Finish."
      
3.   To Keep what is in the site and ADD content from another site, select "I would like to MERGE my data."
   • (This does not bring over the users or their data such as post or assignments.)
   • Select the Site you want to copy from.
   • Select the check boxes for ALL items, or just the items you want, and Click "Finish"
